The Modular Helmets feature a design optimized for optimal aerodynamic performance, as confirmed through extensive wind tunnel testing and feedback from professional riders. The dual-layer EPS liner enhances both impact absorption and ventilation, ensuring a comfortable and protected ride.
This helmet offers a wide range of size options, with five shell sizes and six EPS liner sizes, allowing for a comfortable fit on most head sizes. The formed air spoiler reduces drag and lift, while also diminishing the weight pressure on the neck while riding at high speeds.
The Upper Air Intake Vent is strategically positioned to maximize air volume into the helmet interior, providing ample ventilation. The Large upper intake vent is designed to optimize performance behind wind screens. The easy-to-operate large lower intake vent, along with the lower air intake/defroster vent, reduces shield fogging and increases overall ventilation.
The rear/neck outlets allow for effective air exhaust, ensuring a comfortable and well-ventilated ride. A breath guard and chin curtain are included for added convenience.
The shell structure is constructed using a combination of high-performance fiber materials and elastic organic fibers, resulting in an ultra-lightweight, rigid, and resilient design. The 3-D center pad and multi-layered, polyurethane foam cheek pads provide a comfortable and customizable fit, with the cheek pads being replaceable or removable for maintenance.
The eyeglass-compatible interior ensures compatibility with various eyewear, while the neatly secured chin strap provides a secure and comfortable fit.
The Q.R.S.A. (Quick-Release Self-Adjusting) base plate allows for tool-less shield removal and installation, and the spring-loaded base plate ensures a proper seal by pulling the shield back to contact the window beading evenly.
The CW-1 shield is both wider and taller than the CX-1V it replaces, providing increased coverage and visibility. Optional CWF-1 two-dimensional Pinlock equipped racing shields with tear-off posts are also available.
The scratch-resistant coating and 99.9 percent protection from harmful UV A & B rays ensure the helmet's durability and safety. Additionally, the optional CW-1 Pinlock prepared shields can accommodate Pinlock Fog Free Inserts for enhanced visibility in varying weather conditions.
This helmet meets the DOT FMVSS No. 218 Certification, ensuring it complies with the necessary safety standards.
