The QR-E Base Plate System facilitates quick and smooth shield changes, with SHOEI's patented spring-loaded technology ensuring a wind and waterproof seal. Strengthened springs provide more precise functionality, and a five-stage rotating dial allows for shield/base plate fine-tuning.
The helmet's interior system is meticulously engineered for the utmost convenience and performance. It features a Multi-Ply Matrix AIM+ Shell, a proprietary technology that integrates a six-ply matrix with hand-laid interwoven layers of fiberglass, organic fibers, and resin. The Dual-Layer/Density EPS Liner provides impact absorption by utilizing varying densities of foam, while allowing cooling air to travel unrestricted through tunnels created in the EPS.
The RF-SR helmet also includes the Emergency Quick Release System, which allows emergency medical personnel to easily and safely remove the cheek pads from an injured rider's helmet.
