Developed and refined in Shoei's state-of-the-art, in-house wind tunnel facility, the RF-1400 boasts impressive improvements in aerodynamic performance, including a 6% reduction in lift and a 4% reduction in drag. Optimal shell aerodynamics reduce wind noise around the helmet, and Vortex Generators on the sides of the shield reduce wind turbulence. The all-new, airtight window beading provides a wind/waterproof seal, ensuring a quiet riding experience without blocking the road's informative sounds.

Utilizing Shoei's in-house wind tunnel, the designers have relocated the center/forehead vent and equipped it with an additional air intake hole to help increase the volume of cooling air entering the helmet. The RF-1400 is equipped with a fully removable, washable, adjustable, and replaceable 3D Max-Dry Interior System II that is capable of dissipating sweat 2x faster than traditional nylon interiors, and newly designed cheek pads feature more volume on the bottom for greater comfort and reduced wind noise.

The CWR-F2 shield offers a look with optimized visibility, and the PINLOCK EVO fog-resistant system is 10% larger for improved vision. The CWR-F2 Base Plate System has been completely redesigned to facilitate quicker, smoother shield changes, and the new shield adjuster mechanism provides easier, more precise tuning.

The RF-1400's Multi-Ply Matrix AIM+ Shell meets both SNELL M2020 and DOT standards, with hand-laid interwoven layers of fiberglass and lightweight high-performance fibers.
